Recipe: Crunchy Roasted Chickpeas – A Snack That Won’t Set Your Waistline Back

Recipe: Crunchy Roasted Chickpeas

Roasted chickpeas

Prep Time: 5 min.

Ingredients:

1 (12 ounce) can of chickpeas (or garbanzo beans as some call them)

2 tablespoons of olive oil

Salt, garlic salt, and cayenne pepper (to taste)

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.

Drain the water from your chickpeas and place them in a bowl. Blot the peas with a towel to remove any excess water.

In your bowl, toss the chickpeas with some olive oil, and throw in your seasonings, whatever amount works best for you.

Now, spread out your beans on a baking sheet, and cook them for a good 30-40 minutes. Remove them from the oven once they’re brown and crunchy.

Make sure you watch them carefully there at the end, you don’t want to burn your chickpeas.
